GVS Illtud House, Llantwit Major

Illtud House offers affordable office and co-working space in the heart of Llantwit Major. When Glamorgan Voluntary Services was awarded the building, it was a dated former children’s centre. We helped remodel and refurbish the new facility.

Keeping to a tight budget, we focused on creating a welcoming entrance with smart communal areas and facilities to attract new businesses and their visitors. Minimising spend on office spaces themselves allowed us to maximise affordability for residents.

A highlight of the project is the new anthracite grey entrance with sliding doors. At night, it lights up and appears like a lantern, welcoming in visitors from the street.

The toilets were another area we invested in, bringing comfort and a contemporary aesthetic to the originally austere and dated facilities.

  • Step in through the sliding doors which are offset to prevent heat loss to the building. Entering a lobby, you will find a secure point giving access to the businesses beyond. As a business owner, Illtud house offers affordable, adaptable spaces both for coworking with others and hosting small teams.
